Intern VTB Junior for Equity Research department (Metals and Mining team)

In joining the VTB Capital Equity Research Metals & Mining team, you will become a miner: digging deep into the operational and financial metrics of the companies under our coverage, and separating precious metals and gems from the waste rock. You will gather your findings and smelt them into refined ideas that can help VTB Capital clients generate superior returns. The successful candidate will have the energy, desire and discipline to strive for excellence on every dig – and the intelligence and knowledge to know how and where to dig. That person will join Institutional Investor’s Number 1-ranked Metals & Mining equity research team in Russia.

Key responsibilities:

− Conducting financial, statistical and industry analysis on companies and the industry to generate and support the team's investment ideas

− Construction and maintenance of financial models and industry databases

− Contribution to delivering of periodical and ad hoc research products

− Analysing large information flows, monitoring key industry trends and companies’ strategies

− Assisting internal and external clients on day-to-day requests

Required Qualifications and Experience:

− Graduate (finished or current master’s student) from the top tier university with specialisation in a relevant field (economics, finance, management). Excellent academic credentials is essential;

− Strong knowledge of corporate finance and valuation;

− Fluency in English;

− Accuracy, diligence and attention to details;

− ­Collaborative skills and team work;

− Ability to work under pressure;

− Knowledge of Python/SQL is preferable.
