Meet the opportunities of the International Monetary Fund.
Speaker: Bikas Joshi - Head of the IMF's Resident Mission in the Russian Federation, is going to speak about training and employment opportunities for young economists in the International Monetary Fund.
· IMF Economist Program (EP): The EP is an entry-level program for talented, recent PhD graduates in macroeconomics, finance, public finance, monetary economics, international economics, international trade, poverty issues, political economy, or econometrics who are interested in pursuing a career in international economics and finance. It is a 3-year program specifically designed to enable participants to quickly gain operational experience. To be eligible for the EP, candidates must be recent PhD graduates or would complete a PhD within a year (or less) of joining, and be available to join on a full time basis on September 8, 2015. A PhD in a field such as macroeconomics, finance, public finance, monetary economics, international economics, international trade, poverty issues, political economy, or econometrics would be most relevant. The EP 2015 is posted HERE as vacancy # 1400842 and the closing date is October 31, 2014 (extended this year to November 10). Candidates should apply ahead of the IMF’s visit in November.
