Hundred Years Afterwards: Russian Digital Revolution

This Summer School is aimed to provide students with multidimensional and insightful analysis of Russian experience in adopting new digital technologies into business practices. The curriculum is covering the main aspects of the topic distinguishing different technologies, business functions affected and agents of change acting: Business, State and Academia.

Language of instruction: English.

The program includes pick-up service, accommodation, company visits, refreshments between classes, and farewell lunch, access to the library services, access to the facilities and internet on campus, social and cultural activities.

Week 1: The Digital Economy and the Russia’s International Competitiveness, New Digital Business Models, Public Policies and New Business Models, Platforms and the Internet of Things, Russian struggle: Modern trends VS Existing infrastructure, Workshop: How traditional companies can cooperate with IT startups, Russian language and Culture, company visits

Week 2: Blockchain and cryptocurrencies, Big Data and Information Privacy, Boosting E-Skills and Rethinking Labour, Organizational Culture for a Digital Age, Russian language and Culture, Company visits, Group Project.

Social and cultural activities

You will be able to discover Russia, Moscow and suburbs as part of the social and cultural activities included into the program: Moscow guided tour including visiting Moscow Kremlin, tour to Sergiev Posad including visiting Trinity Lavra (one of the largest ancient monasteries in Russia). Numerous Moscow museums and attractions could be visited during the spare time. The program will also include refreshments between classes, and farewell lunch.

1100 Euros – Regular Fee

Special terms are available for exchange students coming to MSU for the Fall Semester 2018


The program will start with a short orientation in order to provide students with information about the studies and the opportunity to integrate with classmates.

Participants of Summer School will live in the dormitory of the Moscow State University historical building (the tallest university building in the world).
